“It is minimally invasive because Dr. Kirwan makes tiny incisions that do not require stitches. “We generally make one or two under the chin and then just under the earlobe, ” he said as he demonstrated. “And we use that to pass this wand with the radio frequency energy under the skin to tighten everything up. Just passing it like this and like this and that gives us a controlled amount of heat which liquefies the fat and heats up the skin. Tightens up the tissue underneath the skin and tightens up the skin itself as well.”
